4/29/2024 0 Comments Atom rpg leather crafting![]() So the lastest batch of patches also made possible a crafted gun build/run There are no craftable automatic guns but i have a feeling that will change in the future:) They are also the cheapest guns to use since they practically cost no money, use cheap and abudent ammo and cover almost all the gun classes. There are some crazy good guns you can get very early in the game just by crafting the recipe and you can make some crazy tactics with your build.įor example you can use 2 heavy crossbows on your main and be a complete predator(the only thing missing the is the Predator sounds), sniper rifles on your companions or giving them 4 barrel shotgun and manually controlling them in battles:) With the perks for crafted guns not jaming and the +20% damage bonus you can finish the game with only those guns. ![]() Now i think with imaginations you can finish the game on Expert with them ![]() The combat in this game is a lot less balanced than that of the OG Fallout games, unfortunately. Before the updates with the gun balance and the added recipes the game was very unfriendly to crafting. Hand-to-hand with a shield and automatic weapons builds are the only good top-tier combat builds AFAIK. I should also note that crossbows are not a great combat build at high level. Other, older lists do not have some items, such as the top-tier punching weapons. This is the most up-to-date crafting list I can find in a 5 minute google search. Heavy Crossbow (Lvl 40): 2 Metal Crossbow, Scrap Metal 3 Wires (or 3 Rope) and also Toolbox.Metal Crossbow (Lvl 30): Wooden Crossbow, 2 Scrap Metal, 3 Empty Tin and also 2 Rope.Wooden Crossbow (Lvl 20): Custom made Crossbow, Scrap metal, Rope and also Babushka Scarf.Custom Made Crossbow (Lvl 10): A log, Rope and also Babushka Scarf. Here is the list of crafting recipes (with crafting skill recommended) for crossbows: The recipe is only useful if you want the game to put in the materials for the item automatically. You can just find them online and plug it into the "experiment" tab in the crafting menu. Does the game expect you to "waste" points sub-optimally in the 'Rifle' and 'Handguns' skills while you don't find any automatic weapons?Īgain, you DO NOT have to buy recipes. While I'm here, as someone who envisioned his character as a sort of "Arnold Schwarzenegger in Predator" concept (Charistmatic, melee based bodybuilder who then branches out into automatics) I've found it very awkward because the only guns you seem to find up until level 9-10 are pistols and a couple of rifles (hunting rifle and shotgun). The one saving grace would be the crossbow, but so far I have not been able to find or craft either the weapon or the bolts it uses for ammunition because they are not sold at stores, their crafting recipes are not for sale anywhere I've looked and out of numerous combat scenarios only one bandit was carrying a level 1 crossbow which by that point (lvl 8 char) was already outclassed by everything. Throwing knives are outrageously weak, dealing around 3-5 points of damage for 3AP cost, so they are also out of the question. You find a couple of grenades (which are very rare due to how powerful they are and also have very unreliable chance to hit) and if you are lucky you will be able to craft a couple of Molotovs (although Bandanas with which to craft them are quite rare). I'm just curious about where you find this? Or are you just supposed to experiment with items until you get lucky? I've noticed Abraham in KRZ sells a recipe for a level 4 crossbow but what about the first 3 levels of crossbow? Is there not a recipe for them?Īs a STR based character I found the early to mid-game to be murder for characters who decided to invest in throwing weapons simply because there are practically none to be used anywhere.
